The Lemon Run

ALSFsquare
On November 10th James and I are running/walking 5K to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.  This Foundation emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a worldwide fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the world carrying on her legacy of hope.
A few brutal stats…
Kids cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for kids under the age of 15 in the United States
1 in 300 children will be diagnosed with kids cancer
1 in 5 will die from kids cancer
Less than 5% of US Federal Funding for cancer research goes to kids cancer research
This is not good.  We can all make a difference.
We are asking you to join us on November 10th in the 5K Lemon Run/Walk.  We have formed TEAM CAYMAN and would love for you to be part of our team!  Not in Cayman?  Doesn’t matter–you can still run/walk as part of TEAM CAYMAN.  Don’t want to run/walk?  Please donate.  Every penny helps and every penny counts.
To register for the run/walk, click here:  https://www.alexslemonade.org/campaign/lemon-run/register
Click “I’m joining an existing team” and find TEAM CAYMAN from the drop down.  We will send you details of the walk/run once you’ve registered.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for getting involved!  PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE, SPREAD THE WORD!!!!
